What a great day! I sit here with another pint of "Sam" which is Samuel Adams, a supreme beer which I love already. The day started at 6am with around 4 hours sleep under my belt. We march off to Disney ready to see this supposed world of "magic" (which science discounted years ago!). I went in a skeptic and came out a happy guy. First Disneyland is actually Disneyland and next to that the Disney Adventure Park. Don't fool yourself...trust me! You WANT to go to Adventure Park if you're going to Disney. The rides at the adventure park are far superior to the Disneyland rides. At any rate first we visited Disneyland and it's just amazing the level of details that's gone into this place. Today we head off and to the touristy thang - Hollywood, Stars Homes and Universal Studios. We loved it. I must admit that for all that we see on the TV about Tinseltown, I still really can't belive it exists, much less than people actually living here. We head off this morning with our own personal driver in a big black, tinted windowed Lincoln. No roofless tour bus for us thank-you-very-much. Truth be told, it actually worked out cheaper this way. We start out on Rodeo Drive. Very posh, totally love it. Then we head off into the residential area where we see the homes of Paul Newman, Barbara Streisand, Posh and Becks, Ice T, TomKat, Dr.Phil, Mariah Carey, Christina, Bruce Springsteen, Steve Martin, Rod Stewart, Michael Jackson and Britney Spears. You hear of so many things about this country; people's experience's, opinions and so fourth. Well here are mine thus far: * The toilets here are weird. The bowl is full of water and sucks everything away when you flush. I'm not a fan. * Customer Service is really fantastic. They definately work for their tips. Nothing is too much trouble, they are friendly, attentive and always helpful. * Bus drivers drive like maniacs * Fries come with EVERYTHING. You can't just order a plain ham and cheese sandwich. It comes toasted, with extra fillings and a mountain of chips (sorry FRIES).
