Wow, wow, wow and wow. Today was easily one of the more difficult rounds of golf of the year. The wind was absolutely howling today. Easily blowing a steady 20-25 mph, and gusting up to 40 mph. The wind will do whatever it wants with the golf ball, especially if you don’t hit it solid. June 5, 2007 Not a whole lot happening today. I went to bed rather early last night. After driving 11 ½ hours, you feel pretty tired. I awoke around 7:45 on a roll-a-way congested, not a real good start to a 3 week trip. Three quick showers and we were on the way to find Lost Springs Golf Club, luckily for us it was only 1 exit north on interstate 540 towards Missouri. We had so much fun scootering in Karst mountains in Lao PDR that we decide to continue on in North America. Eureka Springs Arkansas, we are told often here, is "the place where misfits fit". We decided to check it out by attending the "Art Car weekend". Even tho we just have an "art Vespa" rather than an "art Car" we were welcomed to the festivities. We all took a trip on our vehiciles to a school & nursing home, then to the "harmonic Bizzare"...home of the worlds largest musically tuned windchime! YES! That was the salutation, top-center, upon opening my college acceptance letter 15 years ago. A pretty happy moment. In fact I was ecstatic. Little Rock is well Little. Flew in on Northwest. Pretty uneventful but those little planes are no fun. Sure they are jets but these days that's nothin fancy. I thought I would be sitting close to the front when I saw my boarding card had me in seat 10D. Not so! 10D was only two from the back - close enough to smell the toilet and loud enough to hear the engines attached to the rear fuselage.... Luckily Marc was sitting next to me in 10C. So, you guys probably weren't expecting to here from me via travelblog again, but I have good news. As of this morning I am accepted as an International Student at the University of York in England. There are some problems that need to be fixed before I can once again study abroad (namely amassing the necessary funds and making sure they know when i'm suppose to show up---they were so confused by how I turned in my application 6 months before the deadline that they expect me to fly over for the upcoming spring terms instead of for next year as [View Full Entry]

Well, I just started this blog, and actually didn't plan to enter anything here until I started the travel, but then realized that it has already begun. I have gotten the passport, the visas, the flights, and finally this week put the downpayment on the apartment in Italy. So at this point it is just a matter of packing and waiting. Well, I'm back in Fayette-nam, obviously, and even though I've been working at it for a while, I just now finished loading the last of MY pictures from the trip. I capitalize "my" because I intend on putting up pictures that I stole from other people next because there were some things I missed (like Euro Disney) because I brought my video camera instead of digital.
