Final couple of days in the States and I finally got my swim! Not many other brave souls, Arizonians thinks it's cold, but the water was warm like a bath even if the outside air was a little chilly. No-one around to take a pic of me in the water so guess you can see the lovely time I had with the pool all to myself! It's been Thanksgiving Day here today, my first ever and it's been wonderful to share with family. Started with the Macy's parade from NYC on TV, Skyping with Ally and Alice (and Alfie of course! ), a wonderful dinner with some weird things like sweet potato with marshmallows and strawberry jello (jelly!), a game of 'Left, Right and Center ' which was great fun (and I won!!! - watch out ... read more

Lovely lifestyle in Arizona...... (a snapshot).... and then the rain came for two days! So funny when rain and fog make the headline news. Locals searching for and dusting off the umbrellas but the funniest was Clarice trying to work out how the wipers on the car worked!!! They use them hardly at all here in the desert of course! Well, it's great to be back in our "winter" home. Nice to be settled for a few months and back to our normal activities - golf, tennis, and of course happy hours! Travelling took it's toll on the ole' waistline. Sitting for long hours in the driver's seat, using the mandatory golf carts, and the slow, leisurely walks when touring doesn't wear off the calories, especially when feasting on the local cuisine that is just too tempting to resist. Travelling and staying in so many RV parks and campgrounds, made us realize how much we appreciate our RV Park in Surprise, Arizona. With over 100 clubs and sports activities, pools, spas, entertainment, and a golf course, there is never a dull moment.
