Our ride awaits. A ride on the Verde Canyon Railroad is a step back in history as the train ambles along following the Verde River through Arizona's other "grand canyon". We rode in an enclosed air conditioned car, but it did struggle to maintain a comfortable temp. in the 100 degree temperatures. We had access to an open but covered car for seeing the view.
Wildlife spotted on this trip was deer, blue heron, and an eagle.
Drove back to Sedona to eat at a restaurant recommended by our daughter and son-in-law. The Javelina Cantina served excellent food and had a great view from the dining room.
