Juneau

HEY THERE EVERY1
WELL WE HAD 4 NIGHTS IN JUNEAU,
HERES A QUICK RUN DOWN OF WHAT WE GOT UP 2,

WE ARRIVED ON THE 8TH JULY AND STAYED IN THE ALASKAN HOTEL...(what a shit hole)

The first day we walked around town and then got the bus to the mendanhall glacier, what a sight, we started to do a trail but the rain was unreal as usual.
we headed back to town and got another bus to the alaskan brewery. Happy days free entry and free samples so we tried every beer there was and even a smoked beer.
the next day we met up with the family of 5 again (from oz...... hi if your reading this, ROZ, STEVE, TRISH, JAMIE AND VICKI) and headed to the west glacier trail to try and find the ice caves......what a fcuking hike.
We walked for 3 hours all up hill and even had to climb a waterfall, we got right up to the mouth of the glacier and suprise suprise it started lashing again.
we walked around for another hour and kinda got lost in the rainforest-there was loads of bears so we freaked and started making our way back. We had to sing the whole way, clap our hands and bang trees with sticks to make the bears aware that we were around to stop them attacking us. we were a sight for sore eyes when we finally got back to the car park, soaked to the knickers and mucked to the eye balls. (hitchhiked back to the main road and into bed for some heat!)
The following day Colin went salmon fishing at the hatchery, he hooked 6 salmon in 3 hours-they were about 30-40lb each. we also done a tour of the salmon hatchery.
well thats it, we got on our flights the next day from Juneau to Seattle and then on to San Francisco.
