Oaxaca with Donzetta

Hello everyone,

The night before last I forgot to recharge my computer so I was not able to get on the website in order to post any entries. I think it requires a lot of energy to maintain the website.

It is saturday night and I have just finished resting from a long trip with Envia to two of the surrounding pueblos. That is a whole new story with new pictures but I am going to put this entry in since I haven't been on my computer since thursday. This is the end of the week so I will start next week with pictures from the tour today.

El Taller de Conversacion
This is our conversation workshop. On the right is el maestro. Our topic for now is "La Semana Santa" or Holy Week. We have to go out and ask the locals about a specific thing done during Holy Week and discuss with the group during our tow hours of spanish conversation.

El maestro en Su Trabajo
This is the master at work teaching us about this history and traditions of Oaxaca. Es muy interesante!

La Maestra de Cocinar
This is the maestra of the cooking workshop. I am told she is very good. She does other jobs also. Vicky es muy trabajadora. Vicky is very hardworking.

Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe
This is the altar of the church of our lady of Guadalupe.

El cielo
I was trying to capture a picture of the white dove flying above in the church. I think that it might be the little white spec in the picture...not very clear.

Hi Donzetta, I feel like I am traveling along with you. We missed you at book club but are all so proud of you. No one really enjoyed the last read which was Hemingway's book The Moveable Feast. Julie said it was like eating cardboard!!!!! :) We plan to read The Midwife's Confession by Diane Chamberlain for April. Joy is a light that fills you with hope and faith and love." -Adela Rogers St. Johns- I hope you will have a very joy-filled Holy Week and a wonderful experience of both Palm Sunday this past Sunday and Easter Sunday upcoming. Don and I will be traveling to Nebraska for Easter and will have Good Friday as well as Monday off to travel back home.
