Uruapan and Bday Celebration

Hey everyone!! So this last weekend has been really awesome!!! On Friday night the whole group from school went out Salsa dancing because we have all been taking lessons and it was a blast!! We all got dressed up and had so much fun!! It was really awesome to be able to dance and use all things I have been learning😊

Saturday we traveled to Uruapan, a neighboring town, and saw some really amazing places there. We went to the national park which reminded me so much of Oregon! It was full of amazing forest and beautiful fountains and waterfalls. We also went to Paricutin which is a volcano that erupted in 1943. It covered a whole town and all that is left that you can see are the towers of the church. We got to ride horses up to the lava beds which was really fun! The beds were so amazing and we had to climb up them to get to the church. Again it really reminded me of Oregon and made me excited to be home soon! It was so beautiful and so nice to get out of the city for a day.

Saturday night we went out with a huge group of friends to celebrate my birthday since we didnt so much on monday. We went up to a club names Velvet which is outside and overlooks the whole city of Morelia. There are a ton on couches and fire places and an amazing view!! It was so awesome to have all of my friends there celebrating my birthday and we had a wicked dance party which you all know i love!!😊

Today Aurora, Terra, and I went to a baile floklorico de oaxaca which was also amazing! It was a bunch of traditional dances and amazing music!! It is so awesome to be able to go to things with such rich culture here!! Over all this weekend was really awesome and I am so content here right now!! I am excited to come home soon and see everyone!! Miss you and love you all!!!
