ok, so im back in mexico city. guanajuato was amazing!! great people, lots of fun, and a beautiful place. architecturally its VERY similar to a small maountain town in spain, italy or france. in fact someone told me it was made to look like toledo. its also really cool bc there is a network of tunnels that cars use to get around the city. i was gonna stay for a aocuple months but decided against it. i need to keep traveling in the right direction at least!!!! i would also have liked to go back to the desert to finally try peyote but i guess it just wasnt my time... today i went to see three tattoo artists about getting a tattoo of a 'sugar skull' of dia de los muertos. i love that in this country death is taken very lightly. three days ago it was the day of the dead and lots of people dress up and everyone makes offerings to your loved ones who've passed away. its a really cool vibe, and they have lots of caricatures of skeletons and the like. thats what im getting, a caricature type skull w various things that have marked me about this country culinarily incorporated into the design. i cant wait!!!!! dont worry ma, it wont look macabre or anything, i dont like thos kinds of skulls... 😊
as of the the 3rd im officially illegal in this country!!! gonna have to bounce down to guatemala soon!!! as long as i dont stay on too long all i have to do is pay a 500peso fine (tipo 35 euros... se po fa). i met up w a friend form oaxaca thats currently working in the danzantes they opened in playa del carmen and he said i could definitely get work there so ima look into it.
