The waiting game

We discovered that the only cheap flight we could get to Calgary would leave at 7.30am on Saturday morning so i felt that it seemed logical for us to spend that night in the airport, then we could save on a nights accommodation and ensure we did not miss the flight. I've landed in Jail! The old jail is a hostel Haunted? I don't know. As predicted, it was a pretty ho hum evening. I was on the internet for a bit and they had a special of buy one hour, get one free so I was on there for a couple of hours which gave me a chance to make a couple of blog entries and to answer a few emails and chat online as well. Deja Vu

Well 8 months have passed and I'm back in Banff. I'm not sure that anyone believed me at the time when I said I would come back here but here I am! The place is exactly the same (not surprising really!), just quieter, and it's cold! It's colder than it was the day that we arrived in February (the taxi driver said that it was meant to get to 17 degrees this afternoon though, I'm not sure that I believe him!). It was a seven hour drive to Montreal from Toronto, this was an experience i was looking forward to mainly because the city is french speaking, something that you don't get anywhere else in North America. The hostel is of a decent standard, but its very basic, but after coming off the Toronto one i guess i was bound to be a bit disappointed, i don't think that one will be surpassed. The rain is sprinkling My umbrella is mangles Walking in the rain. As predicted by weather.com, the rains started to fall overnight. I didn't realize how mangled my umbrella got from when I foolishly opened it on that gusty, rainy day last Sunday. So I ended up tossing my Edinburgh green plaid umbrella into the bin. The Great White North. Not yet, but I don't think the white stuff is far away. The beautiful mix of autumn greens, browns and reds will soon give way to wall to wall white.
