Day 3: The Conference begins!

Today is actually December 3, so my memory of the trip is starting to fuzz around the edges.. Check-in for the conference was at 5pm, and Andrea had class that day, so it was Candy Takes on Montreal Day! I had big big plans, and so little time! No more shopping please Chillaxin' in Edmonton Easy going day. I took it pretty easy today since I have vowed not to do any shopping of any sort other than grocery shopping. Let's see how long this lasts. haha While making my breakfast of Japanese instant noodles (just trying to finish up my stash of food before leaving catching the train tomorrow) I met a Japanese girl and Canadian guy making some "sandwich maker bundles". Day 2: Arrival!

Frites alors! Poutine fun.
Believe it or not, we're sober here. They gave us crayons to draw with! And there's poutine! What a deadly combination.

9:30am: L'Arrival, Montreal-Trudeau airport. After the insanely miserable red-eye flight and the boring transfer and being awake for the last 20 hours or so, I finally finally arrive. French land! There is so much more French than I'd expected! It's oui this and non that. Crazies. See Legislature Quite impressive inside here And the tour's free! I dilly dallied around the room organizing some of my things while Michelle packed up her bags. She wanted to move onto Calgary and then Banff sooner rather than later so as to be able to find herself a job. I was keener and arrived at the airport 2 hours early, at 9pm for an 11:05pm red-eye flight. West Edmonton Mall Shopping, shopping, more shopping Charge it to Visa! It's about 6AM right now and I had too much water to drink last night and can't sleep anymore on the train.
