Background: A land of vast distances and rich natural resources, Canada became a self-governing dominion in 1867 while retaining ties to the British crown. Economically and technologically the nation has developed in parallel with the US, its neighbor to the south across an unfortified border. Canada's paramount political problem is meeting public demands for quality improvements in health care and education services after a decade of budget cuts. The issue of reconciling Quebec's francophone heritage with the majority anglophone Canadian population has moved to the back burner in recent years; support for separatism abated after the Quebec government's referendum on independence failed to pass in October of 1995.

Blogging on the train from Toronto to Montreal on Microsoft Word. So it was now time for us to visit Canada, getting to the airport in Boston was fairly simple, we just caught the subway all the way. Once there, we checked in (no queues as we flew with AirCanada but we could see the United desks next to ours......long lines there) made our way to the gate and left. Le départ aura lieu dans un peu plus de 3 jours et il reste tellement à faire! Partir pour 6 mois c'est beaucoup de logistique. Je me suis réveillé à 3 heures ce matin et le sommeil ne m'est pas revenu. Je me demande quel est le niveau de détail et d'intimité que prendra ce blog. Je vais probablement être assez détaillé dans divers aspects. Par exemple, j'ai revu le budget prévu : 200$ pour chaque jour passé au USA et 100$ pour les autres pays (60*200$+120*100$=24000$) Est-ce réaliste? On verra. Bonjour à tous, Nous sommes arrivés à St-Lambert hier soir après avoir magasiné comme des fous toute la journée hier à Sherbrooke.
