A visit to Quebec city before starting school. We decided to take a roadtrip over because that is what we love to do. The ride over with JV and Elvis, DOG HOUSE!, blaring on the radio made the 7 hour trip pass by so quickly.
So what can we say about this city? Its quaint, a great place to escape the NYC heat and humidity, and thats about it. The sky is huge here, but thats attributed to the lack of many tall buildings in the area.
We didn't do much here except walk on the wall and in the old city. (Scratching one more site off the UNESCO world heritage list.) But that was what we had in mind, just get away from the NYC and relax. So 2 thumbs up for the trip
Some minor thoughts and occurrences
- This is where Qing learned to roll down a hill
- We loved shopping at Simons (must go back)
- The cheese in the poutine was rubbery
- Teens like to beg for money on top of the wall by dropping a can hooked to a fishing line to street level. Never did see any passerbys put any
Watching the coastline
Qing was watching the coastline for any invaders. She was also yelling at the little boy to run and get munitions. cash in there.
- We also trespassed in one of the outposts. Mind you it was by accident. There were no signs posted saying that we had to pay to go in!
