August Long Weekend - Life is what happens between the plans

OK... was this only 1 day??? It felt like 5!!! IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE!!!

Emma and I drove to my cottage on the Saturday morning, we arrived a little later than planned, so we had enough time to unload the truck, shotgun a beer, and off to Sushi and Swords.

Sushi and WHAT?!?!?!? you ask... Colin Burke hosts the most rockin' of all Ping Pong tournaments... it is called Sushi (winner of the losers) and Swords (winner of the winners!). Last year Devon Bailey won... this year... with the support and tauntings of his girlfriend (my sister) Craig Lawler was the big weiner... SCORES!

We had to leave the tourney a little early to prep for my parents surprise Retardedment party, then it was off to supper... at 7:15, we told our parents to go to their bedroom and gave them a bottle of wine (yes.. this felt a little odd)... we then ran around like chickens with our heads cut off and set up the entire cottage in 20 minutes!!!!

Around 7:35, the faint sounds of a bagpipe could be heard... and they were getting louder... next thing we knew, a lolligaggle of people were walking down our street and the party had begun... SUPRISE MOM AND DAD!!!!!

Drinks and Bachelorette (I believe #54 for Jenny Ewen) went down.... the perfect set up for the August long weekend dance.... After some drinking games, we all headed to the dance to get down and funky!!!! (We like to move it.. move it!)

Earlier that night, before we sat down for supper, my parents told us how they were going to take it easy that night, next thing I know, my dad is wearing a girls tank shirt and my sister is telling everybody she is a rockstar on stage with the band and by the end of the night my girlfriend was naked with two other people... (skinny dipping... get your mind out of the gutter!!!) and I was naked and stumbling down the street for no apparent reason only to be found later wandering the streets with a bowl of chips and a confused look on my face.
