May 2-4 at the Bay…

If you have seen the movie Happy Gilmore, then you know of his Happy Place. Well, ‘The Bay’ is mine and I am sure this is true for many other people as well.

Every long weekend, many of us gather at our respective cottages to make some fuzzy memories. This year was the first Get Your Eat On (GYEO)!!! 1 theme, 3 meals at 3 different cottages, 26 ‘willing’ participants, and a ton of booze! The perfect recipe for some seriously good memories!!! Of course, no long weekend would be complete without a trip into town to the local (and I think ONLY) watering hole Killarney’s, AKA ‘KILLERS’! Getting there on our own accord would be a bit of an issue, so we had a chauffeured ride… on a school bus!!!

From the Norway Bay Border Patrol to Dirty Sanchez to Matt almost getting decapitated by a golf club, I think it is safe to say that the first GYEO was a success!

For most, tonight marks the end of a long drive back home. For me and my girl emma, tonight marks the beginning of a VERY long, but extremely exciting drive/adventure. The car is packed, the hot tub is warming up for one last soak, and tomorrow morning we will tick off kilometre #1 on what will probably be the longest road trip we will ever do (approx. total of 8,100 KMs)!

So without further ado let me say, CALIFORNIA… HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!
