Ah, Montreal. The city that I call home when I travel. We're back in Montreal for the summer, and we're loving it! While Dave and I were running a "chase point" or checkpoint for the Montreal City Chase, we were distracted by a man wearing a clown wig riding on a kid's scooter, chased by a blue bus full of drunk guys, two of which were hanging out of the overhead emergency exit, throwing water balloons at the clown. Thursday July 17, 2008 - Sunday July 20, 2008 <<Unfortunately, we didn’t take a lot of photos while in Montreal. Seemed the camera always got left behind in the hotel room.>> So Tegan and I headed up to Canada to attend Brian and Ghislaine’s wedding in Montreal. Dr. Ink en Aar (de man van) willen iedereen bedanken voor het bijdragen aan de superdag tijdens het verdedigen van haar proefschrift en haar benoeming tot Dokter in de Biologie.(What's up Doc?) Het was een dag waar wij lang naar toegeleefd hebben en een dag om nooit te vergeten! Enige minpuntje die dag is dat Inke vanaf nu als Ineke door het leven moet aangezien haar naam verkeerd stond op haar bul!!! Maar dat mocht de pret niet drukken. Climbing Up The River After Fun In Montreal

It’s hard to believe how fast time goes living and working on such a ‘small’ boat! Since my last blog, we’ve sailed into Canada and spent a week in Montreal, climbed a few hundred feet in elevation to the fresh waters of Lake Ontario via the St. Lawerence Seaway Lock system, glanced at Quebec City’s mighty castle, pulled along side Pier 4 in downtown Toronto, and visited Niagara Falls. Ok we have been in Canada for a while now and I have been slack in not updating... QUEBEC CITY So we did the big drive up from Boston to Quebec city on Wednesday... Except we made it bigger by getting lost getting out of Boston! We drove up via Maine which was absolutely gorgeous! June 18 - Montréal We got in Montréal around 6h00 PM and went directly to the world famous Schwartz’s restaurant, which they are known for their famous Montreal smoked meat. Nigel was in heaven. It is definitely worth it to stop here, even though there are often line ups to get in. Afterwards, we headed towards Dominic’s place, one of Nigel’s friends. Sateisesta Vancouverista tie vei sateiseen Edmontoniin. Siellä ei oikeastaan ollut mitään kiinnostavaa. Kävin maailman suurimmassa ostoskeskuksessa, West Edmonton Mallissa, ja se oli kammottava paikka se. Muuten lähinnä ajelin eestaas metrolla, kun keli oli mitä oli. Vielä sateisempi oli Calgary, joka kaupunkina vaikutti näistä Albertan suurkaupungeista paljon mielenkiintoisemmalta. Nyt valitettavasti pikainen Calgary-kokemus jäi todella vajavaiseksi kun ei kaatosade paljoa innostanut kylillä hengailemaan.
