Our hotel
What better than to spent a weekend in Mont-Tremblant at a 5 star resort with Aileen!
Mont-Tremblant is about 1h30 minutes drive away from Montreal. They call it the ski resort paradise. After two wrong turns because of Aileen’s wonderful navigation... (It’s ok, I still love you girl) we arrive at the Westin Resort & Spa. What a beautiful hotel, very intimate, it is right at the heart of the village, clubs and restaurants. Since ski season hasn’t started yet, it was fairly quiet. I love it, because I don’t like big crowds and I find the services to be better.

After checking in, we headed to our suite. Wow...what can I say? Large room with a fireplace, I wasn’t too impressed, because the fire was very small and we barely got any heat out of it. We had a fully furnished kitchen, a huge bathroom, a king size bed and best of all, a balcony with the mountain view of Tremblant. We also had the view of the pool and hot tub outside, but nobody used those facilities because it is simply too cold out to be strutting around in a bathing suit.

We headed downstairs after exploring

1 glass of wine is good for you
our room, to buy a bottle of red wine (hey...were celebrating!) and to park my car. The car park if you go to P1, it is a huge parking lot where you can park for as long as you want for free. It is not far away from our hotel. We were told that we can take the shuttle from P1 to our hotel. After informing what bus to take, we embark on the wrong bus!!! Aileen...if we had drank beforehand...I would of blame it on the wine lol; well at least next time we know ALWAYS to mention our hotel instead of asking to get to the village, because apparently there are two villages in Tremblant, the old one and the new one. So this bus is taking us to the old one, not where we want to go. So here we are...45 minutes on this bus lol, we can’t see anything outside because it gets dark at 4pm and the bus is taking us back exactly where we started. It was a pretty long ride but we were both lost in our own thoughts, gave us time to relax and reflect. 45 minutes later, the driver points us

to the bus we were supposed to take, only to miss it; however a bus driver waiting to start his shift gave us a ride back to our hotel. People in Tremblant are so nice!

Ok...so back to our hotel, we take our turn to shower, open that bottle of wine and we just chilled until it was time for dinner. We got recommended to eat at “Le Avalanche” by the concierge at the hotel. Great restaurant, great food, great waiter! This night doesn’t get any better!
Later on we partied at “Le P’tit Caribou”, which by the way, the place to go when you’re in Tremblant. The layout is basically a wooden chalet; it is very casual intimate environment. Music varies from Hip hop R&B, rock to French at the end of the night. Our waiter partied with us, met a whole bunch of people. We had a great time.

The next morning however, we both had a hangover, not so much for me since I only had wine (quite a bit actually) and lived off base for the rest of the night. But still! We came here to do what we planned to do, party hard

and go hiking! We went hiking that afternoon, so different from the city I tell you. Fresh mountain air and it was just a beautiful day. Guys, remedy for a hangover...go hiking and drink lots of water!!! I am serious! It works!

We hiked for 2hrs, came across a beautiful waterfall, made it halfway to the top, took in the view, took a breath, reflect, went back down, packed our stuff and we left for home.

*Note: We found out that morning that from P1 we could have hiked uphill for 5 minutes and we would of been back at our hotel!!! All that headache and our hotel was just behind us! What a joke!!!!
