Hey viewers!!! Just yesterday, on the 4th of September 10', I embarked on a flight to Hongkong on CX636 at 8.30pm Terminal 1. My mom, sister sent me off to the airport that evening. We had a very enjoyable share of Iced Cappucino, Vanilla Frappe and also a nice Rasin Croissant which was too warm for mom's taste. Then we camwhored for abit (a tradition- lol) and then thats when i began my journey on my own to Canada. The 3hours 50mins flight to Hong Kong was pretty entertaining, didn't feel dreadful at all. I sat at the window seat, so I enjoyed the view of the clouds and diamond looking lights that reminded me of how lucky I am. Nope I didn't make any friends on this flight. Just enjoying time alone with the on-flight shows. Soon enough I reached Hong Kong airport, sat there tired and aimless... just waiting for time to pass..(dreadful) for a good 2 hours and slightly more. Many youngsters like myself were sitting at the waiting area, majority using some digital device or sorts (MP3, Ipod, Iphone, Lappies.) yeah you get what I mean. Needless to say I was happily typing away on my laptop facebookng and also emailing mom to tell her that I am all healthy and fine. My eye lids felt heavy and without further ado, it fell totally, leaving me slouched on the uncomfortable hard chair( because I really wished for a soft bed at that time) . But even despite so,I fell aslp. Many were slping too like a campsite with chairs and luggages here and there. Almost everyone had somebody beside them, someone they can talk to(maybe on the phone) and that was when I felt a little left alone. But leaving me with ample opportunity to observe others freely, with no distractions. But still someone to lean on and talk to would have been great at that moment. Then soon came the flight. Filled with Hong Kongnese!! I sat on the aisle seat, far from the window (depriving me of enjoying the beautiful view) with 2 other teenage boys. One from Malaysa and the other from China. The Malaysian guy was well-read i'd say. He was reading a book on Lee Kuan Yew it was super thick and filled with ant-sized juicy words pouring out buckets of history. A good 14 hours 20 mins passed. I watched several good television shows. Time passed slowly i'd admit and i Got very confused with the timings. I kept thinking about people from Singapore and Adelaide and wonder what they would be doing right this very moment when i'm still in the middle of reaching my destination. I felt special... as if I was given a chance to travel back in time. Since 12 hours was certainly a big difference. When its Sunday today ( now.. as i'm typing) Its Already Monday for all my other friends and family. Guess how amazing that feels. After landing I was tired and rly confused what time it was.. My body clock was not suited to the timing yet. I felt aimless as to where I should go and what I should do while waiting for me to be able to get a room with nice comfortable squishy beds to snooze in. I changed the timing of the Niagara Air bus and took a ride in a small van together with 2 guys and an old lady. Upon arrival at the Four Points Sheraton Suites, I realized i needed an adaptor quick because my computer's battery and iphone battery were runniing out quick.. then i took a leisure tour around my uni.. (the view is SPECTACULAR) i love Canada.. Not many asians here though in St Catharines. I took a bus to Pen Centre. This very kind lady called Cindy helped me to find my way there, helping me to find out which bus to take and from where. I felt so cared for especially when i am alone here fending for myself with no one else.. I am utterly grateful for her presence. At pen Centre, bought the adaptors (which were ridiculously expensive.. i am kinda mad still) ($40 dollars for 2 adaptors?!!!!) the tax is rly killing me.. hate it.. (14 % tax btw) and also a large bottle of water (4 litres) for only 99cents. yay no tax for this one (or included alr).. hmm.. Then this nice guy who was holding many coins gave me some cents so that I could catch the bus. It was a small gesture but still it made me feel at home. I am really pleased with whatever I have encountered today. and I hope to record every bit of memory (good and bad) I have in this travel blog. (ps.. no one helped me press the lift open or help me carry my luggage up.. i was disappointed.. it took me so long just to get all my luggages in the lift and the lift door kept closing on me... pfffttt... so annoying ... but i think it made me feel even more proud about myself tt i can handle situations alone. Right now its 1.39pm Canadian time. And I would like to slp in ... nap around then head down to maccas for my dinner and lunch..!!! tata
