Rideau Inn, c1916, an Edwardian era home, previously operated as Rideau View Inn. Since December 2001 we have been happy to continue providing comfortable, clean and economical accommodations in elegant surroundings at a superb location close to all downtown Ottawa has to offer. We are situated in the leafy residential neighborhood known as the "Golden Triangle" bound by lively Elgin St. and a bend in the Rideau Canal. From our shady, front verandah we have a sunny, south view to the wading pool, basket ball court and free tennis courts of the pretty, St. Lukes Park across Frank St. Our peaceful neighborhood is just a short walk from the capital's bustle and numerous fine restaurants, cafes, Starbucks and nightclubs found on nearby Elgin Street. A little further walking distance is the Museum of Nature, National Gallery, National Arts Centre, Rideau Centre shopping Mall, Byward market and more.
