Ottawa, CanadaToday was another very busy day. The Fulbright group met a 7:45 a.m. for breakfast, and at 8:30 a.m. we headed off for the Museum of Civilization. Here we were lead on a tour of the museum, where we learned about the history of Canada from pre-contact of Europe to present. The museum had an excellent exhibition of First Nation artifacts and their history. From here we went over to the National Gallery of Canada, where we toured the museum and saw Canada’s permanent art collection of both contemporary and modern art. All of the artists were Canadian. Finally we had high tea at the Chateau Laurier where met with Clare Beckton who spoke on women’s issues in Canada.

Hey! Sounds like you've been really busy. One thing I thought about while reading your blog is how little we know about our neighbor to the north. As educators we must expend our practice to be able to educate our students in this growing world. I hope you get great info on bilingual ed while you're there. I'd also like to see pics if you took any. The museums sound great.
