Well the Canada eh show lived up to all expectations.
This morning was a very early start and
we were both sad to be leaving Banff. First stop was lake Louise. A truely beautiful place and the rain sort of held
off for photographs. Suffered greatly because of the altitude. My lungs are not what they were and the pain was exquisite.
Saw an elk on the highway then pulled over to watch a black bear for 10 minutes. We could not believe that people were
getting out of their cars. These are very dangerous animals.
Then out onto the Columbia icefields to be taken up to the glacier. It was raining at the visitor center but snowing hard on
the glacier
Drove on through the rockies covered with snow until we reached Jasper. Not a lot here really. Half the coach party
did the last 10 miles by river raft. Pam and I declined. Watched british TV in the bar whilst having a good meal instead.
Tomorrow is another very long day. We are losing perspective of wat day it is but we cross another date line tomorrow.
