the drive from seattle to vancouver was really only supposed to take about 2 hours but for some reason it ended up taking about 6. its really difficult traveling with someone else and trying to coordinate schedules when youve already had a routine. we were told that before we made it to canada we had to buy some duty free liquour. we made about 6 stops then were over it, we ended up buying some booze across the border, bad, expensive decision. we arrived at tom and monicas around 7, we unwinded and had a few drinks, home brew style. since all the booze in ca is so expensive, a lot of people go to these places where they can brew there own beers and wines, for way cheap. you get to chooze grapes for the wines and i assume hops for the beer.
next day we woke up and decided to view vancouver for the day. we walked around for about an hour, browsing and shopping when we came across a huge demonstration at the vancouver art gallery for legalizing cannibis in canada. it was a crazy scene, almost like a festival, but there were no bands and a
bunch of people just smoking pot. it was actually a fun and wild experience. we left and then walked to stanley park and took lots of pictures and enjoyed the beautiful weather. after doing the tourista thing we met up with tom and monica at an awesome restaurant called the sand bar on granville island. it was beautiful and located right underneath the bridge. we had an amazing view from our dinner spot.
