(Ness Lake Bible Camp)
Here are a couple more Grizzly pictures. LeRoy was right behind us, and he said he waited until the bear turned toward him. He wanted to get out and entice the bear to stand up~~everyone thought that was a good idea except LeRoy's wife!!! But these are great.
We found out that one of the reasons the snow disappeared so fast is because the ground never froze. They got 8" of snow the 18th of October, and the ground was covered all winter. That would make a difference. But the surprising thing is that Bob and I are going golfing tomorrow! You need to know how much snow was on that golf course two weeks ago to really appreciate this!
This is a long weekend for us Canadians, because Monday is Victoria Day. (They have a four day weekend every month from now through September.) We don't work Monday, but we do work on Memorial Day. The camp uses this weekend as an annual camp work day, and people from various congregations come out and work. Saturday and Monday they spend working, and today we had church service here, and then had a play
day~~sand volleyball, zip-line, jungle swing, boating. The men have been helping with the cleanup, and we women have been helping cook. It's interesting to cook such large amounts! Yesterday I made chocolate chip cookies that began with eight cups of butter, and sixteen eggs!
Ok, on to the pictures.....

Send Private MessageI would expect the bears to look scraggly like our deer do this time of year. He is beautiful.
He is beautiful, isn't he, but in a couple pictures I thought his ribs showed. Think how much prettier he'd be in the fall, with a thick coat, and a layer of fat. I know those two things always make me look better!
