So after Cypress Hill (Alberta side), we headed towards the Dinosaur Provincial Park. When we got there, we just stopped at the viewpoint and it was quite the sight (this provincial park is a badland and it is HUGE!).
Anyways, we set up our tent and headed towards a little trail. We didn't go very far because we couldn't see where the trail went and there were also big stormy clouds coming. So we headed towards our campsite. Thank god we did because our tent might of flown away. lol So this was pretty cool, in 30 minutes, the storm clouds moved in, it started to pour, high winds, hail, and it was over! lol It was pretty crazy!!
July 8th - Dinosaur Provincial Park
The next morning, we went on a guided tour first thing in the morning. We thought it was pretty cool because we saw real bones (real dinosaur fossils) still in the ground. We could actually touch them. Nigel was sooo excited to see real fossils! eheheh. It is interesting, to know if it is really a bone (fossil), you lick your finger, touch the rock (where you think it is a fossil),
keep your finger on it for 5 seconds, it will stick a little bit. (if it is a fossil). Pretty cool eh? Anyways, on this hike, we learned a lot about what paleontologist (the people that study fossils) do and observe when they spot fossils.
**Thank you everyone for reading our blog. We have been reading your messages and enjoyed receiving them. Sorry, we don't write again, but our schedule is pretty tight! Thanx once again!

20080709-066Aren't Hoodoos the coolest things ever.. The rock on top is harder and the bottom is sandstone so it wears away quicker.
