Our trip to Lethbridge was short and sweet, but eventful none the less. We stayed with Christian's Cousin Eric and his wife Oleta, and they were great to us. An amazing home cooked meal every supper, and great company all around. Eric even had Christian out working with him one day, which Christian thought was amazing. Eric owns and runs his own renovation business and Christian loves tinkering with carpentry stuff. Eric and Christian also went to see a WHL game between the Lethbridge Hurricane and the Medicine Hat Tigers the second night we were there. Meanwhile I mostly hung around with Oleta and Susan (Eric and Oleta's Daughter) and Susan's cute little baby boy Nash. Christian and I also did some more hot yoga while we were in Lethbridge which really helps to keep the car fidgeting to a minimum while traveling! So in terms of any adventures in Lethbridge there were really only three to speak of. The first being the huge Coulee's that separate the east and west side of Lethbridge, which are massive and quite beautiful. There is a public park and a historic site in the largest Coulee in the city where a highway connects both
sides of the city. This park is where we found a look of and spent a whole day just walking around inside the Coulee. Next is also in the Coulee, the largest train trestle in the world that was built in the early 1900's to allow Pacific Rail to travel across the Coulee without going into it. It took years to make and is made of solid steel, CN and Pacific Rail still use the trestle today which is the crazy part. Thirdly we found this beautiful little park called Henderson Park. Someone could get lost in there for days, it is just absolutely beautiful and really well kept. Even in the fall when all the little kiosks are closed the park looks immaculate. We both really enjoyed the park, it offered some really nice photos. All in all our trip to Lethbridge was short but we made the best of it, relaxed and enjoyed time with family, and got to see one of man kinds early marvels!
