Bear sighting and more!!!
We are in Edmonton! It has been a long day. We weren't even on the road an hour this morning and we saw a black bear on the side of the road! No kidding!!! We turned around to take a picture and he ran into the woods. He was a good size bear! Jamie was disapointed that he couldn't put an arrow in him but whatever!!! I only took a couple of pictures today because there wasn't really anything exciting to see. As far as scenery goes, it was beautiful, but boring!!!! We also saw a Moose and a lot of Deer. I am very satisfied with the wildlife I have seen on this trip!
The kids actually did ok today.... for the most part anyway. This is our last night in Canada. Tomorrow we will stop in Billings, Montana. We have been relying on our GPS (who we named Rosie) to get us to our destinations. She has been very accurate in getting us to our hotels except for today. Apparently there is an address that is the same as the hotel we are staying in. We didn't realize this until we follow the directions Rosie gave us and we ended up and someone else's house. Come to find out, we were on the other side of town in Edmonton. We ended up getting here, we just took the scenic route! I have enjoyed my time in Canada. We finally hit gas stations that take your credit card at the pump! Also, there are Dairy Queens everywhere!! I haven't been to one yet, but I am thinking tomorrow is going to be the day that I get my blizzard I have been craving :)
We are driving about 700 miles tomorrow. One would think after you have been driving for several days in a row that you would have a routine as far as where you sit in the truck and your duties as far as taking the dogs out to pee and what not. Well, not with our kids! The kids are supposed to be in the back with the dogs and when we stop, they are supposed to take them out. Well, the dogs are ending up in the front with us and everytime we stop, the kids argue over who is going to take them to pee! Come on kids!!!! You know the drill. You know the routine by now. Why do they have to make things so difficult all the time??
In closing, I would like to say that gas is cheaper. It's 89 cents a liter! I hope everyone is enjoying our blog! More tomorrow :)

loving it! glad to hear the trip is going ok. missing you of course. have you run into any interesting ppl??
Miss you too!!! I have to say that when I am talking to the Canadians, they remind me of you :) I have to giggle everytime I hear them say "hay" after every sentence :):) It makes me think of you!!!!! Other than seeing a guy in a truck pulling the back of another bed of a pickup truck, it's been pretty normal!
