P1060268Mel all ready for the rodeo to start
Around 2:00 PM, we decided to leave the park and go to the STAMPEDE!

. This is something we both looked foward to. So we got to our campground (Mountain View) at 5:30, pitched our tent and got ready quickly because there was a bus going straight to the stampede at 6:15 PM.
We were pretty glad that we didn't drive there! Traffic was terrible. So instead, we got the chance to just relax in the bus. That felt great!
When we finally arrived at the stampede, we rushed to get our tickets to go see the chuckwagon race at 8:00. We thought that was awesome! IT was crazy to see how the horses were going fast and also the driver being full of mudd when they finished the race. In all, we thought the chuckwagon was very interesting and intense!
After the race, there was a night show going on until midnight. We never EVER seen a show like this before! It was CRAZY. There was sooooo much stuff going on, sometimes you didn't even know where to look! IT was awesome. It is understandable how millions of people from around the world come to this
festival. There was even a guy on bagpipes that played AC/DC and Van Halen. Nigel really loved this performer (Melanie too, hehe)! He was hilarious.
July 9th - Stampede
The next morning, we ate, got ready and took the bus for the stampede at 11:00 AM. Today, we got the chance to go see a REAL rodeo! That was AWESOME! We took the standing seat, but we couldn't see alot. Next time, we would take seats for a better view. It was still awesome though!
Our favorite part of the rodeo was probably the bull riding! What fierce creaters! Sometimes it was pretty scary, but still interesting.
We stayed at the stamped until 5:30 and afterwards, we decided to purchase our own coleman camping stove (BEST BUY EVER!). We can actually cook without taking us 2 hours!!! ehehhehe
ANywyas, we decided to leave a day earlier because the Stampede was a little bit expensive....Actually it was really expensive! lol... So here we go to BANFF NATIONAL PARK! YYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAHOUUUUUUUUU! (Yep, we our now real Cowboys!)
