Today Megan went home and James, Nick, DJ and I spent the day wandering around Istanbul.
Unfortunately the rain and cold had come over, so that limited our “sit in the park” time. We first went up the Grand Bazaar. Here we managed to lose Nick and DJ, but met up with them later on a kebab run.
After lunch we ventured up to the Spice Market, via many streets that sold socks. DJ had a reverse bartering experience there, where he ended up paying less for his socks then bargained. We finally made it to the Spice Market, and it was pretty cool. Lots of yummy food to eat, plus the suspect “Turkish Viagra”.
We then walked around the Bosphorus, stopping at the Palace Gardens. They were very green and pretty. While walking further around the Bosphorus, we saw a pod of dolphins. Not at all something I was expecting to see.
It was then to the 12 hours night bus, and on our way to Goreme, Cappadocia.
Breathe In!That has got to be good for the environment!
