Hilton, Al Ain
after the long drive nothing beats staying in a 5star hotel...
This was my hottest summer EVER
It has been 6months since I wanted to travel and visit my brother who lives in the United Arab Emirates and the long wait was finally over and am on way there on an almost 12 hour flight from Quezon City, Philippines to Abu Dhabi. I had to take a connecting flight through Hong Kong then Dubai where my brother and his wife fetched me and we had a 2hour drive going to Abu Dhabi where they live. Since its almost summer in the middle east we decided to have some Summer Getaway with their friends at Hilton, Al Ain.
Al Ain is another emirate of the UAE, a 2hour drive from Abu Dhabi. I thought being in the middle east the roads will be filled with desert but I was shocked with what I saw. Green...from Abu Dhabi City to the outskirt of the long and wide highways going to Al Ain all I see were green palms tress, date trees, shrubs, green grass even flowers. I was so surprisingly delightful to see beyond these plants is the vast golden almost orange Al Ain desert.
It was quite a long but

Al Ain Desert
green and orange this is what I see by the car's window
smooth cruise to Hilton, Al Ain where my brother and his friends decided to have their Summer Weekend, well what better way to spend a weekend than in a 5star hotel. Hilton Al Ain is one of the first hotels in Al Ain it was fully booked when we arrived. The amenities of Hilton is really high class from the lobby to the rooms and all around the hotel.
After we checked-in we hurried to our villa and changed to our swimming outfits. It was 4pm he sun was still high above and it was my hottest summer swim ever...Hilton pool area was family oriented they have a baby pool, children & adult pools and a lap pool. All you have to do is choose where to dip. They have a pool bar with nice dance music, a slide for all ages and water features where you can enjoy.
It has been a hot but fun filled day and it was best spent inside our rooms for some movie marathon.
The next morning has many things to offers starting of with a buffet breakfast at the hotel's restaurant. You can choose from a wide variety of breakfast
meals from fresh cooked omelets, breads, stir-fry, salads etc....I indulged myself with salad topped with feta cheese (my favorite), sausage, bacon and ham. Some breads, chocolate muffins, cinnamon roll, chocolate and peach danish talking of some breads hehehe. All paired with the American coffee that has this pungent coffee smell that made me fully awake that morning. Ready for some more swimming time.
Of we go to the pool again and did our underwater pictorials with Kuya and Ate's friends. The sun was as usual rising very hot above us tempering the cold water of the pool. It was such an amazing day for all of us and leaving the place was very hard to do.
The long trip is so worth it and it was a nice day to spend the Hottest Day in Abu Dhabi.
