6th September - Dubai to Dublin

It was still dark when we dragged ourselves out of bed at 4:45 AM to get to the airport. Our driver thought we were going to Abu Dhabi but we sorted that out with a U Turn and he dropped us at Terminal 1. Pity we should have been at Terminal 3 and one needs a shuttle bus to get there. When we arrived it looked like a Disco from the 70’s it was so lit up and all glittery! The next leg was an easy 7 hours of flight. It was smooth and the service was good –quite uneventful really.

Dublin Airport was much smaller but we headed towards the AirCoach (bus) and for only Euro 7 we were taken into the city only a 5 min walk from Jury’s Inn in Parnell Street. This is an excellent service with regular departures. I wouldn’t waste money on a taxi fare to the city centre.

Dublin is a very elegant city I was quite surprised by that. We strolled about to get our bearings It has many of the major British chain stores and nice pedestrian arcades to get you out of the rain.
