Desert Driving

Dear All,

Possibly the highlight of my trip so far. Driving the Porsche. In the desert. very fast. 😊

My Dad and I took the voiture out to a lovely desert hotel / spa place to eat some Arabian food in the desert. The hotel was nice, but the road to and from was nicer!

Not really that much to say here, except 😊 We went pretty fast. Hood down. It was good. Need to find some way of buying one of these. Hmm....

Well thats it for now. I leave for Bangkok tomorrow so this may very well be the last post from Dubai, but the night is young, so who really knows.

Desert Gate
This is the gate to a new development (anyone suprised?). The development is a theme park. Well, actually "Theme Land". Sorry "Theme LandS"! 10km of it.

Even out here, there are some lovely Nakheel flags (goverment construction firm). There were thousands of them. Thousands. I pitty the person who's job that was!

After about 30mins of driving through the desert, on our own with nothing to see in any direction, we came across... ANOTHER HIGHWAY!!! To/From where? Who knows!?!?!

Still a desert. You can see the restaurant there. It was really nice until the band came on!

First attempt. Lack of tripod = difficult. Plus there was shisha, music and cocktails. No need to look at the sand.
