Great photos. That obelisk is actually Byzantine in origin, was probably built by Constantine VII and was once covered in bronze plates which were looted in the fourth crusade. The other was brought from Egypt by the Emperor Theodosius.
So, have you adopted some turkish cultural habits so far?
Some particular words? eating habits maybe? I'd like to hear your impressions on melting into the country's daily life and all? If that makes sense...
