Leaving Norway
Leaving Chris Hege Lilly and Stella is always hard but we seem to survive. Yes, the sun is shining and it is very hot. Since arriving here I have had a very lazy time, just reading, swimming and generally doing very little. On Monday I arrived in Dalaman and met Steph and Robin and we got a taxi to a marina called Gocer and found the good ship Therapy with Martin and Viv on board. Great to catch up and find out what has been happening with every one. Gocer is a large village that has 5 marinas so there is quite a hustle and bustle about it.We ate in a restaurant that night and found the food good with lots of sauces. The beer was good as well. All the shops were still open at 11pm and heaps of people still on the streets. So, on Tuesday we motored out into the huge bay called Skopia Limani which has hundreds of little bays and coves. Some great sailing for a few hours and then into a small bay called Tersane were we tied up to the shore line. The water is beautiful, clear and warm, but refreshing. Wednesday was much the same as we sailed then pulled into Round Bay. Once again a magic
A Salmon{with Chris}
These are very powerful fish on a fly rod and it was great to see it finally come to net. setting. These two nights we ate on board as Viv, Steph and Robin seem to be able to whisk up great meals on board. Thursday night, after a very lazy day, we spent the night in a bay moored up to a restaurant called, wait for it, Kucuk Sarsala Koyu, which served up a great meal. So far we have just explored around this huge bay, as you could spend a week in here looking into every cove and bay. Any way, a few photos and I'll catch up later. Pip/Rod
PS. A couple of photos didn't load on the last blog. I have put them on here.
