Ok, so here is my Itinerary for my trip in case all you fans want to see it.
December 25, 2007 leave Vancouver 1515Hrs Frankfurt to Istanbul
December 26, 2007 leave Frankfurt 1305 Hrs Frankfurt to Istanbul
January 03, 2007 arrive in Vienna for 12 hrs
January 04, 2007 arrive to London, Edmonton and then Vancouver
Oh yes, this is a secured first class trip ~ there and return- heaven!
So what am I planning to do in Istanbul? You mean besides walk along the Marmara sea, soak in a Jacuzzi and find a spa?
Ok, well, I am gonna look at all the mosques, palaces (thats cuz I am a princess in my mind) and shop the local markets.
I will go to museums, study some history, look at some art (Les Arts , turks tours) and drink Turkish coffee and eat Turkish food.
I will like to a ferry down the Bosphourus and take in the Europe side of Istanbul. And if all goes well and I have time, maybe I will swoon into Greece but I am not sure about that yet.
This is my first trip overseas. I have traveled so much for work throughout North America and yet never made overseas trip.
So here I am, doing it my way! No schedule, planning day by day, rest and relax. I am not here to run from point to point to just get the pictures.
I prefer to immerse myself into local culture for a few days I have in the very heart of Istanbul along the Marmara sea.

You Lucky Duck! 1st class, did you use the air miles you accumulated from all the N.A. Travel? Get a close picture of what an Olive looks like on the Tree. I think they are Green when unripe,and Darken when ripe. That is going to be an interesting holiday. Is the language hard to pick up? Maybe you will have to hire one of the Turkish students for accomidate you?

Hey E. You so deserve this Holiday. I hope you have a great time, I know you will in fact. Enjoy being a NON-TOURISTA, have fun becoming a native! Touch, feel and drink in the sites and culture. Take care and keep us up to date.

Sounds like a grand plan. I think your first trip overseas is a wonderful choice!! And just doing as you feel instead of running around is definitely the way to go. Have a fantastic time, Eli and may all the positive energy in the world find it's way to you. :)
