This year, I really didn't get to travel at all while I was at the site. All work, and no play. Though, I do have some decent photos from excavating this year. Enjoy!

Every year, the site director has a community day where all the people from the town come to our dig house and enjoy dinner and traditional dancing/music. These curious local kids found their way (by following one of our team) to our site near the end of our work day.

In the only burial that had any construction to it, I asked for help to take some points for the skeleton. As soon as this guy came over to help, he leaned on the wall and it partially collapsed onto my very nicely excavated skeleton... I was laughing and crying. He was lucky I already photographed it.

This kitten followed some people back one day from their evening walk, and decided it liked it there with us and stayed! Don't worry, the mom cat found her eventually, and also stayed at the dig house as another mouser cat.
