Oh, wow! Today Ernest and I had our first hot air balloon ride, and what a ride it was! We had to get up at 5:00 am and it was cold, but once we got to the launch site, it was worth it. I remember Emma's account of the fairy chimneys and her pictures very, very well. She did buy a rug which is stored in our cedar closet for her. Somewhere near Cappadocia, she visited a home along the sea (is it Adriatic) that was reputed to be where the Virgin Mary lived until the Assumption. I thought that was really interesting too. The balloons are lovely. There were none in Emma's pictures, but she was there in the summer, and the weather clearly was much different. Sounds like a wonderful adventure.
