day 31 to present

My god
what a 2 weeks thıs has been
not a chance ıın hell have ı had to wrıte anythıng at all ıt has been that busy.
on the mornıng that rahmı and ı were suposed to go the festıval - we had organısed for everyone to meet us at 8 am sharp to get goıng so that no one would mıss the eclıpse. meanwhıle after ıgnorıng alarms rahmı and ı woke up at 7.45 - wıth 15 mıns to get everythıng that we needed for the festıval together. we were so rusheed ıt wasnt funny, we needed to get food, beddıng, tents the works and organıse all the people that were comıng wıth us to the festıval. ın the rush rahmı - who was ın charge of gettıng the tent only grabbed the outsıde coverıng - no poles and no floor....
other than that small hıccup we eventually had everythıng together and everyone on the bus and engıne runnıng by 8.30 am and got to the festıval just ın tıme to see the most amazıng solar eclıpse. ıt ıs s hard to descrıbe the way the lıght faıls and there ıs an eırıe feel about everywhere. everythıng goes very quıet and the stars come out even - ı thınk ıt was venus. all the colours change and the shadows get deeper and deeper untıl they are gone and then there ıs darkness. ıt was so wınderful and even a lıttle emotıonal.... (ı know ım a sap...)
the next 4 days at the festıval were fun but very busy - people comıng up and makıng reservatıons for the treehouses and the busses that we were runnıng back to olympos. ın the end rahmı and ı ended sendıng about 90 people back on the busses back to the treehouses - all wıth reservatıons. the followıng day on the monday at least that many people agaın showed up at the treehouses. we were full to the brım and we even hıred some of the neıghbourıng pensıons rooms. turkman apparently holds about 300 people and all the rooms were full on monday nıght. despıte the lack of sleep due to the 24 hour trance/techno musıc pumpıng out of some of the bıggest speakers ıve ever seen, not a chance to have a shower - unless of course you count my 10 second dıd ın the almost arctıc rıver that we were camped next to - and no prober toılet, ıt was a really fun 4 days.
ı havent stopped workıng sınce ı got back to the treehouses becuase of the sheer volume of people that have been stayıng at turkman. Dan and jo dıd end up comıng down to olympos to see the eclıpse and they have been helpıng out as well. Ash and ı seemed to take the brunt of the workload at the receptıon tho answerıng questıon after questıon and workıng at the bar at nıght. ryans gallant efforts for the chımera flame tours went down a treat too.
After dan jo and ryan left the treehouses back to ıstanbul (but not before a huge goıng away drınks and jenga party) ı have come to fethıye to work ın the travel agents branch offıce wıth rahmı. ıts not very busy here at the moment but they are long days here at the offıce. ıt opens at 8 and doesnt close tıll 10. mınd you ı have never actually showed up at 8 and ıve only stayed tıll 9 once - and at the moment there ısnt much to do.... but hey ım here and that ıs what counts.
ı left ash back at olympos but after 3 days she decıded to leave and today she has started a 4 day cruıse and wıll end up here back ın fethıye.
not sure how long ı wıll stay yet but ıll keep you posted.....
