This old building is being used as a pension, now, named Bonjour Pension and lightens up the 5000 years history of cute beautiful Ayvalik.

During early 1900's, Ayvalik had played an important role in international, overseas relations by having French, Norwegian, English, Italian and Greek Embassies; fortunately this building had been used as an Embassy of France where many serious decisions had been taken by the French Colony in town. The writing '"'L Union d'Paris'"' stands still as a witness it those historical days on the top of outdoor gate. Over 3 centuries resisting to the time, building keeps all original specialties up to date. Additionally the owners today Mrs. Hatice ARGA and Mr. Yalin ARGA try their best to protect and introduce it to everyone concerned with historical buildings.
