Day 14.
(23/04/09)
(Left Behind)
I knew had it coming, and now I’m sitting at some Starbucks Coffee shop, at El Rauché, looking at the sea, sipping ice coffee. Yesterday I was in the airport, to see my dad check-in, leaving me behind, which means I’m on my own now, in one way or another it makes me happy, on the other hand knowing I won’t be seeing my dad get’s me sad, but I’ve been at the embassy and signed me in so they know I’m here and where I’m living while I’m here, and been trying to refresh my passport, because as right now, they won’t give me visa until I’ve gotten a new one.
While walking through Beirut after finishing my “Must-do’s”, I went through a little slim path, with Café’s on both sides all the way down, that may sound boring but when there are waiters pulling out chairs for you to sit down all the way down through out roughly twenty café’s it really does get amusing, definitely something I’m going to do again if I got time.
Others then that I’m still being real good tourist, and visiting my granddad at the hospital all though it is definitely looking better, his right hand side of his body is still lame, but we might be able to get him home, things are still a bit blurry and apparently speaking to a doctor for more than 2 minutes is next to impossible, so you don’t really have any idea, where in which process he is, but from what I’ve heard, it’s merely his age which have given him the problems he have, and genuinely is not going to get better from medication, but I guess if you are of the age of 86 then you should’ve lived a good bit of your life anyway.
“at the end of the day which is still ahead of me, I hope things work out ok, not having my dad here means I will have to take on some responsibilities, talk to some people and so forth, but if all my days work out like this one sun shining walking on El Rauché, then I reckon this is going to be a good year, even though it’s kind of hard to get from A to B because of the lack of trains and real busses, people are really kind and tries their best to help, I think I’ll spend a few lines on transportation next time, it’s a rather amusing scene”
All the best regards.
From the other side of the world.
Yours sincerely
Mike.
