Day 12.
(21/04/09)
(Fried Mike for dinner …)
What a horrible day, “man am I tired?”.
For a starter of all good days, I had to get up at 7am, I reckon it was a good 20 degrees, usually I’d not think that’s a bad think, and I didn’t to start with, but apparently EVERYTHING is in Beirut, which means EVERYONE is going to Beirut, which leads to cars amassing through he streets, so it took us one hour to merely get to Downtown Beirut, and then it took us another two hours to bloody find the Danish embassy, which was heavily guarded, due to the last one getting burned and what not, anyway, that meant that we had to stand in 30+ degree’s for 25mins, for them to acknowledge that I was a not a terrorist, and on top of that, after standing there wetting ourselves in sweat, we were told to come back tomorrow, alright well, off we went to get some food in that case because we hadn’t gotten anything to eat, now my plate was of Fata, which is yoghurt, torn apart bread, hummus, nuts fried in honey, and a pair of sheep feet, bath in oil, which was really not what I was hoping for when I said yes to Fata, because at home It’s just hummus, torn apart bread, and yoghurt, and genuinely that tastes really good, but this was just killing me, too much oil. Afterwards it was back into the car madness, I ended up at home at 4pm with major sign on my head saying “My day was a disaster, how was yours?”
Beside all that, in this week, I’ve actually had some good times, the day before yesterday I travelled across Lebanon with one of my uncles and his work associate, looking for Toyota Camri 1985 Motor, and since internet isn’t really the country’s strongest side, it resulted in driving from garage to garage in a area which apparently was nothing else but used car bit dealers, it was awesome to see some of the other side of the country, we didn’t really find a motor, and in fact they already had one in Beirut but it was a bit expensive, but we ended up buying that one anyway.
The day before that, finishing off at the hospital My dad, my uncle, and two of my cousins went to get Cocktails, and cocktails we got, my goodness I’ve never felt so sick, the whole thing was bigger than my head, I’ve taken some pictures and will try to upload one, no one else but my dad could finish it off, it was good fun we had a blast, and definitely got the vitamins we were suppose to get for that day and quite a few days ahead.
“Sorry, for the massive whine in today’s blog but I had to get this off my heart, was killing me to have such a rough day, and got me reconsidering, but at the end of the day, it’s small inconvenient events that gets me thinking that way and not something I should really dig so deep into.”
All the best regards.
From the other side of the world.
Yours sincerely
Mike.
