Ahlan,

So this is a continuation of my previous blog and the second leg of my trip in my last weekend of Jordan. After we found a really nice driver to take the four of us to Wadi Rum we were off. The ride was pleasant and before we knew it, we saw our other friends and the driver waiting to take us into Wadi Rum. In total there were 7 of us in the jeep plus all our luggage but we managed. The scenery even going into the valley was incredible. After we stopped to buy drinks for dinner we were off to start our desert adventure.
Wadi Rum is famous for its scenery and most of the filming of the movie Lawrence of Arabia was done here. Actually T.E. Lawrence stayed here and remnants can still be seen here, which is really cool history!
The first thing we did on our tour was climb a mini boulder mountain up to a tree where there was a spring. While getting up may have been more physically difficult, coming down was worse because you really had to watch your step! The views were incredible though. After, enjoying

the view for a while and heading back down the mountain we were off on our jeep tour.
The jeep tour was very cool, literally because we weren't walking everywhere. We saw spectacular canyons, climbed the famous rock bridge, went up and ran down sand dunes, saw 2,000 year old drawings of humans and camels, and saw the Lawrence of Arabia house. The day ended with a spectacular sunset view over one of the gorgeous mountains. The approximately 3 hour tour was very worth it, and I felt so accomplished after it.
After we witnessed the sunset from our camp we drank some delicious tea and finally ate dinner. It tasted incredible and consisted of chicken, rice, a stew, pita, and potatoes. We were all very hungry from our long day and we all devoured the food. Since dinner was later because of Ramadan, by the time we were finished the stars were starting to come out. The sky was beautiful and trying to find all the constellations was a lot of fun. We also saw some incredible shooting stars! We made the decision to sleep outside under the sky which was cool, but we didn't get that

much sleep because we couldn't help but look at the sky. It seemed morning came so quickly, and we had to hurry and eat breakfast to catch the mini bus to Petra and then to Amman. We quickly ate the pita, jam, cheese, and tea, and were on our way. The trip back to Amman, in total took about 5 hours, but it seemed so much longer, and no air conditioning on these buses. However, the weekend was incredible and a great way to remember all my travels in the wonderful Middle Eastern Country of Jordan!
