Hello parents and friends of 8th graders,
Today we woke up at approximately 6:45 a.m. to a wonderful breakfast at our kibbutz. We departed at 8:00 a.m. to arrive at the Jordon River for our kayaking/rafting experience. We rafted for about two hours while encountering "leaches", losses of hats and shoes, tipping over, and falling under the raft. Don't worry parents, we're all fine!!! As everyone finished, we had a bit of a swimming party. It felt incredible and we floated down the river on our stomachs; it was hard to stand up.
We then went back to our bus all dry, changed, and clean, to drive to our friends in the ORT Tiberias school. We met a ton of great people who made us feel very welcome. After we finished exchanging e-mails, playing sports games, doing relays, making mezuzot, and chatting, we were off to the "Midrachov" in Tiberias. We ate, shopped, and had a wonderful time. The separation was sad, but we all know that we made friends for a lifetime.
After we left our Israeli friends, we walked to a dock on the Kinneret where we had a dance party on the Lido boat!!! It was so much fun with the head banging music and the blinding lights. The boat was very nice although we did have to share with some other high schoolers from Dallas.
It was a wonderful day and we can't wait for tomorrow!!! We love you all and have a nice day!
With so much love,
Erin, Emily Z., Elyce, and Cyd
Editor's note: most pictures of this day are in the previous entry entitled "A look into the future."

Send Private MessageHey Joe, how you doing? Michel says she misses you a little bit, but curiously, she's been sleeping in your bed the past four or five nights. It looks like these Israeli kids created some interseting games to play. That hoola- hoop race looks fun. We hope you and your mates are all well, and we wish you a safe return trip home.We love you.
Hi Em, Great to hear from you today. It sounds as if you have had another great couple of days. We are so looking forward to seeing you, even Jane. I know shopping has not been a struggle for you, and you thought you would never hear this from me, but spend the rest of the money. No need to bring home the "change." Buy some Israeli chocolate, coffee and maybe some small things like a challah cover. Just remember, the more coffee and chocolate you bring home the greater the chance of you watching Gossip Girls. Jewelry will really boost your chances. hint, hint. Enjoy the rest of your trip and take it all in. I miss you and love you, Mom
Dear Sara...........................................h and her wonderful classmates, We can't believe your trip is winding down. Thanks for the calls, the pictures, the blogs. You may all be feeling sad that the trip is ending but we are all excited to see you. Please remember to thank your teachers from Milwaukee and Israel from all of us for keeping you safe and entertained! We can't wait to see you (especially all your "brothers"- Frankster, Austino, McWilliams- they keep asking when you are coming home!). We love you! See you soon............love,
Mama, Poppy and Callif :)

Hi Cyd! Can you believe this is your last full day to shop... err.... I mean experience the holy land! (not to worry, shopping at the airport could be considered by some a religous experience!) Take full advantage! I'm sure you all have mixed feelings about the final hours of the trip...but as far as we're concerned, it will be nice to have you and Abba home! We love you, enjoy that spiritual feeling, wink wink, you can get only at the airport (!) and fly safley home to us! Love, Emma (debra!)
