Availability or Book Hi-Austin rests on the shores of Town Lake, providing a peaceful setting only minutes from downtown Austin. Guests are only footsteps away from bus lines, the hike and bike trail, and the Colorado River - bikes are conveniently available for rent. A 10 minute journey could take you to the middle of the Red River music district, to the stylish hub of South Congress, to the cool waters of Barton Springs Pool, or to the natural beauty of the Austin Greenbelt. Our fun and friendly staff would love to give you some ideas of what to do in town and directions on how to get there!

Bed linens and internet access are included in the rate.

Rate shown is for non-members. HI members should present their current membership card and request the member discount at the front desk during check in.

No curfew, comfortable 24 hour lobby overlooks Town Lake. Front desk is cheerfully staffed from 8:00 a.m. until 22:00 p.m. Beginning June 1, 2007, there will be an extra $10 charge added to late check-ins after 10:00 pm.

Dormitories open 15:00 p.m. Â- 11:00 a.m. (17:00 p.m. - 11:00 a.m.). Lockers in rooms, 1 per person, central air-conditioning and heat for your comfort!

Group reservations of more than 6 total beds require 50% hostel deposit and minimum one week cancellation notice. Please call or e-mail us for information on group reservations and discounts for parties of 6 or more.

As part of our high quality standards, a government-issued photo ID (such as a passport or drivers license) must be presented upon check-in.

HI-Austin is a great resource for travelers - it is our policy that we cannot allow check-in for residents of the Austin area. We have a 14 night maximum stay - exceptions may be allowed for academic reasons. Please call or email if you are a student or visiting professor.
