Availability or Book Jack Sheremetoff, a Lonely Planet recommended guide, offers his Baikaler HOSTEL (he'd rather call it a '3 guest room apartment') in the epicenter of Irkutsk.

The location of the hostel is unbeatably central and ultimately convenient. You can walk everywhere you need within minutes: ATM (3 min), Internet cafe (5 min), pizza or restaurant (5 Â- 15 min), Art Museum and supermarket (15 min), Angara river (10 min)

The HOSTEL has all facilities, clean and roomy. All the rooms are separated, have comfortable beds and well lit.

Free tea and sugar is provided at the kitchen. Microwave and kettles for guests. Cooking at the kitchen is limited by the absence of stove. (Was removed after someone had left open fire for a night)

The shower is really good, better than in hostels of SE Asia and Middle East :)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Fast and smooth visa registration is arranged upon request (add 300R per visa).

Tours to lake Baikal, transfers to Listvyanka or Olkhon island and other destinations can be arranged. Alternatively, there is information on how to get to those
destinations by public bus.

Suggestions on how and where to go in Irkutsk or lake Baikal. Also, you are welcome to join our ongoing tours (if any)

Welcome to Baikaler Hostel!

PS. The Lonely Planet guidebook says: 'Finding a good accommodation in Irkutsk can be tricky'.

Jack Sheremetoff says: 'Not anymore! You've got one!' » Full Information
