Availability or Book We are very pleased to introduce to you our atmospheric and traditional hotel & restaurant 'Amundsen Gjestgiveri'. This hotel with 100 years long history lies in the beautiful area of northern Gudbrandsdal. Over the past years the building has undergone several 'facelifts' and has been very well maintained. We, the Kroon family, are a Dutch family and we gladly ensure you a pleasant and welcoming stay.

In the winter there are many nearby opportunities to enjoy Langlauf and Alpine Ski activities as this is the most winter-fixed area in Norway. Vinstra is located in the 'Peer Gynt' area and from here it is relatively near the national park areas 'Rondane', 'Dovrefjell' and 'Jotunheimen'.

In the summer these areas are also very attractive for walking tours, rafting, canoeing and is a popular area for trout fishing. In this area of Norway a country climate dominates and during the summer in spite of the northern position it is rather dry and warm. The national park 'Rondane' is popular in the autumn season for the many autumn colours and sometimes already has snow covered tops.

By arrangement we can transport you from Vinstra train station to the hotel by car. If you wish to do a walking tour in the Rondane National Park or the Peer Gynt Rike districts then we can make arrangements to transport you there and back. » Full Information
