This may seem like the title of an old film but these are the things that inspired Mr. Vittorio Serluca to create his life-long dream in 1971. First it was a quaint little hotel rising above the beautiful Gulf of Salerno shores, along the coast road of Pontecagnano. From the windows you can see the sea and the beautiful view of the Gulf of Salerno. The hotelÂ’s regular customers have admired the beauty of the coastline for years, and have benefited from its refined hospitality. Then the Vittorio family grew, two children were born. Gaetano and Elio, now grown up,they have given a new style to the hotel with the help of their mother, Mrs Sira.

Today The Hotel Olimpico is a three-star hotel consisting of 44 large rooms. They are quiet and comfortable with on-suite bathroom facilities, private bathroom, air conditioning with individual temperature control, satellite- TV, telephone facilities, free high speed internet wireless system available in all rooms and the entire building, safety deposit box, hairdryer, balcony with terrace or window. Table and chairs on the terrace.

Four types of rooms, economy, standard, excutive, suite (upon your request beds can be King or Twin-bedded in each room)

Those are singular amenties of each room's tipology:



*Economy room: located on the ground floor of the hotel, with balcony or window and only garden view.



*Standard room: located on the first or second floor of the hotel, with sea view or garden view.



*Excutive room: elegant room and nicely decorated with a new forniture (rennovated in the winter 2006), all with balcony and garden view, large beds, mini-bar, radio with 5 channel, sound proof, main door with elettronic key access, large tv-color.



*Suite: This room are large and spacious with lounge area and private terrace overlooking the gardens, elegant and nicely decorated with a new forniture (rennovated in the winter 2006), all with balcony and garden view, large beds, mini-bar, radio with 5 channel, sound proof, main door with elettronic key access, plasma TV with DVD player.




Some rooms overlook the wonderful seascape, whilst other land facing rooms overlook the beauty and the tranquillity of the immense gardens surrounding the building. The gardenÂ’s beautiful fountain is the setting for silence and relaxation which is one of the things that the Hotel OlimpicoÂ’s customers covet the most. Inside, there is a large covered car park, a new swimming pool, a quiet play area for children, a bowling green, a luxurious solarium, table tennis, regular tennis court, high speed internet point.....all services free of charge for all the guests.

There is a dedicated childrenÂ’s area that is not deep. The pool is nestled amidst beautiful gardens and receives wonderful sunshine and there many places to relax in the shade.

So that leaves just one thingÂ…Â…the sea. It is just 50 metres from the hotel where the customers can enjoy a large private beach and the use of a beach umbrella, 1 deckchairs and 1 sun-lounger per room, hot showers, changing rooms and the watchful presence of a lifeguard. The Hotel Olimpico is the ideal place for anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable place, but more importantly it has always been the ideal place for those families with children who wish to enjoy themselves.
