Hello friends :)!

First of all, I must say that I am extremely happy to come across this forum whose inputs at various time so far has lead me to have the foundation to formulate a trip which I had been planning to do for a long time now.I want to see it finally happen this year itself. I am planning my trip sometime around last week of [May,2008] and it should be more of travelling and visiting as many places as possible in a vehicle than to rest at a single destination for long [I did so earlier,so this time I want to cover as many spots as possible.] I am open to travel all days,sight seeing on the way and to spend as little time possible at each place,but to cover almost every possible destinations on the route available for sight seeing .I may halt at a place if there is no other choice of proceeding further and can't compromise places of interest with anything.

My route would be somewhat like this :-
Chandigarh-Sarahan-Kalpa-Nako-Tabo-Kaza-Keylong-Sarchu-Upshi-Leh [with detailed sight seeing]-Sonmarg-Gulmarg-Sri Nagar-Pehelgaum-Jammu. You can see, some of the best known and arduos places of the region being covered in the trip from 20th May through 7th June.

Are there anyone who are also heading that way around the same time,or anyone who would like to join me on this? Please feel free to write me so that we may get in touch soon and discuss further possibilites of making this a success.

Ohh yes!
I understand! That's the truth for everyone else as well in their respective lives;I had been planning this for so long,and this time finally I found the opportunity to take away 3 weeks from all of that boring life to have a good time out there;
Nevermind, maybe,sometime in the future, you could make out sometime and have great time along with your family being in those beautiful places; You would be having summer vacations by then?

By the way,where are you now,these days?

I took my daughter to Thailand twice last year for a month each time. She was still in Kindergarten so I was allowed to take her away. The laws concerning taking kids out of school are a bit more rigid.

Me, my boyfriend and daugher are going to India for 2.5 weeks next December.

So, we do get some time off. I miss the days of being able to disappear for months at a time. I will have them again in the future I hope. :)

I am from Ireland but have been living in Germany for the last 6 years.
