Mell Mel Fla Post Count: 3636 Msg: #2 136 days ago, April 24th 2008 | Hello Alan :) | Most of the waterfalls I have seen are small but I like them anyway. I did however see the Niagara falls which were magnificant. But, I've heard the Angel Falls in Venezuela is very impressive and worth checking out too. There is a reason why Iguazu is 'Niagara in Viagra'. explorer_keith Keith Martin Post Count: 30 Msg: #4 135 days ago, April 24th 2008 | I love all waterfalls, but Iguazu is at the top of the list for me. Both Niagara and Victoria are impressive, but to me they felt more like a site to see, much like a famous building or a sculpture (not that that is a bad thing). Iguazu was more of an adventure park with lots of great walking, and hidden places to sit and other enjoyable things - It is just a huge place and it is set in an amazing jungle setting with cascades falling all around you. | Some of my favorite waterfalls are ones that are hidden deep in the forest with wonderful swimming holes and lots of solitude - The Cockscomb Basin in Belize has a few really nice examples. I agree with the others, Iguazu is the most impressive | IUMy23 Maya Northen Post Count: 202 Msg: #6 135 days ago, April 25th 2008 | Iguazu falls is my top pic. I saw it from the Argentinian side which I have heard is the best vantage point (they can be seen from Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay). I am have not yet seen Victoria Falls yet though and am hoping to see them next year! | The Nomad Camo Post Count: 66 Msg: #7 134 days ago, April 25th 2008 | I hang my head in shame and say I have seen neither Iguaçu Falls nor Victoria or Niagara falls... *sigh* One day... However I have to say the Tad Sae waterfalls near Luang Prabang, Laos may not be big or over wealming but they are terribly picturesque and charming. My friend who was with me and who has been to all of the above mentioned waterfalls said the Tad Sae falls were the nicest of all. | [Edited: 22:10 - The Nomad - spelling correction] hemmi rosa Hermann Runarsson Post Count: 4 Msg: #8 134 days ago, April 26th 2008 | Hi | Of the great waterfalls of the world I have not been to many, but I was at Iguacu last weekend, and it blew me away. They are absolutely my favourit. The only comparisment I have are the waterfalls in Iceland (e.g. Gullfoss and Dettifoss) which are OK, but nowhere near to be the same experience.
