so, a friend of mine and i are planning a trip to Peru and Brazil this August. we intend to make a stop in Manaus along our path. and we were recommended Antonio's Jungle Tours.

upon contacting Antonio for price info he said his north and south river tours were "R$180,00 Reais per day / per person" and currency converter on yahoo roughly translates that to $11000 canadian dollars per day! OUCH! surely this is wrong. but i re emails antonio back and he said them's the numbers correctly.

is it supose to be 180.00 Reais? or should i be under then impression a HI hostel recomended tour company is charging thousands of dollars for a couple day tour?

HELP!

Yes, 180. In South America we see the comma used instead of '.'
