www.trekcafe.com - A great social network where trekkers can talk to each other.

Hi all,
I just wanted to recommend to all you trekkers out there this great site which is actually a traveling-oriented social network (think facebook with a twist) where trekkers from all around the world can substitue their knowledge, advise people and so on.
I came across it when I was looking for some tips on trekking in Nepal and the help was invaluable.

Hey folks !! here i´m, planning my Nepali trek....with all those riots and manifestations that i see on TV about the "Free Tibet campaign" just came to my mind if of the trails in NEPAL has suffered any intervention or, is even closed ?!?! For those who are in Nepal (Pokhara-Kathmandu) how safe is it right now to travel ?? In anytime have you felt in a non-secure situation ?? Thanks for your time, keep kool !!!! =D

hi everyone, i'm in nepal now alone and was wondering if anyone knew of a way to meet up with people? i'm planning a trek in may but dont want to do this alone so does anyone know of a way to find people? i visited that trek cafe site but i think i got the wrong end of the stick- do you have to know people first? laura
