Working in NZ during May/June

What part of NZ remains quite busy during May and June- meaning still lots of work available

We're currently working in Queenstown, but summer is coming to an end and there aren't as many tourist to keep the place hopping. I've had a lot of my shifts cut at work and many other restaurants are closing for the month of May. It will pick up again for ski season, but I think we'll move on during the "quiet season". Any suggestions for areas of the country which will still have plenty of places hiring?
